But with only Derbyshire below them and the halfway stage of the Championship programme almost reached, it is hard to predict anything other than a fight against relegation.Signings continue to be made. Australia’s Glenn Maxwell will arrive for at least part of the T20 programme while Surrey expect to confirm the capture of South Africa’s JP Duminy for the last two months of the four-day campaign early next week.What they need above all else, though, is a Championship victory after seven matches without success. That spirit-lifting outcome was an impossibility here once Warwickshire ploughed on beyond 600. And but for a more disciplined second-innings effort, built around Rory Burns’ three-hour occupation, a desperately embarrassing defeat might have ensued.As it was, the pitch proved simply too bland for Warwickshire to pressurise Surrey into another implosion. Throughout the 12-day contest, Sri Lanka batted with more authority and bowled with more intent and just to emphasise that, they did both even better today despite resting three senior players.Tillakaratne Dilshan followed up his century in the previous match with 99 and shared in a second-wicket stand of 163 with Lahiru Thirimanne who found confidence with a half-century, while Kumar Sangakkara racked up milestones. He overtook Misbah-ul-Haq as the leading run-scorer in ODIs this year and become the top-scorer for Sri Lanka in a bilateral series with 372 runs. With all those accolades, his best mate, Mahela Jayawardene was hardly missed.Neither was Sri Lanka’s marquee fast bowler, Lasith Malinga, or leading spinner Rangana Herath. Their replacements, Suranga Lakmal and Sachithra Senanayake, did the damage with five wickets between them to ensure even the flicker of a challenge South Africa posed was suffocated before it find any oxygen.Although South Africa have scored more runs in each innings as this series wore on, they were always unlikely to chase down a score of 300-plus. They have a lethargic bowling performance and indifferent showing in the field to thank for being asked to do that.Morne Morkel and Lonwabo Tsotsobe started well with probing lines outside offstump and had early success. By the halfway mark, they were consistently scoring more than four runs an over and had laid enough foundation to up the aggression.And they did. The very next over, Thirimanne charged Phangiso and drove Morkel with confidence. He could have been stumped for 62 but Quinton de Kock missed the chance. ومن المعروف أن بطولة كأس العالم للأندية تتضمن 7 أندية، ولكن هذا النظام سيتغير ليشمل 32 فريقًا بداية من 2025.

وأوضح فيفا، في بيان رسمي، أن قرار إسناد مهمة استضافة مونديال الأندية 2025 لـ الولايات المتحدة، أخذ في الاعتبار متطلبات البنية التحتية والخدمات، إلى جانب الأهداف الاستراتيجية الأوسع للبطولة.

وواصل: “مع تأهل بعض أفضل الأندية في العالم بالفعل، سوف يجلب المشجعون من كل قارة شغفهم وطاقتهم إلى الولايات المتحدة في غضون عامين لهذا الإنجاز الهام في مهمتنا لجعل كرة القدم عالمية حقًا”.

EVOLUÇÃO

Fundado em 14 de maio de 1966, o Antofagasta ficou, durante boa parte de sua vida, intercalando entre a elite e a segunda divisão do país. Em toda a história, os Pumas foram rebaixados em quatro oportunidades (1977, 1984, 1997 e 2008), o que exemplifica que a equipe, durante boa parte do tempo, entrava na primeira divisão com o objetivo de não voltar imediatamente ao segundo escalão do país, o que nem sempre foi possível.

A equipe se estabeleceu na primeira divisão do país em 2012, mas nem sempre conseguia campanhas de destaque. De 2016 para cá, porém, os Pumas são uma das equipes que mais chamam a atenção no país, brigando pelas posições mais altas da tabela. No ano passado, lutaram por uma vaga na Libertadores durante boa parte da competição, mas, no fim, terminaram em quarto lugar, com 57 pontos, se classificando para a Sul-Americana, a primeira competição internacional da história do clube.

O ÚLTIMO CAMPEONATO CHILENO

A equipe chega com moral para a partida contra o Fluminense. Na bagagem, a melhor campanha da história do Antofagasta em um Campeonato Chileno e a confirmação de que os Pumas estarão presentes nas primeiras prateleiras do país durante algum tempo, já que melhoram ano após ano.

No último Campeonato Chileno, o Antofagasta brigou por uma vaga na Taça Libertadores, que é dada aos três primeiros colocados, durante todo o tempo. Na reta final do torneio, porém, a equipe teve uma sequência de cinco jogos seguidos sem vencer – uma derrota e quatro empates – e viu a Universidad do Chile, com 57 pontos, terminar na terceira colocação.

FILOSOFIA: GASTAR POUCO E EVOLUIR

Apesar de possuir um elenco mesclado – com média de 26,1 anos no total -, uma das filosofias do clube, em termos de contratações, é apostar em jovens jogadores não tão badalados nas categorias de base ou em atletas experientes sem tempo de jogo em seus antigos clubes, já que a situação financeira dos Pumas não permite fazer grandes negócios, e, a partir disso, moldá-los com o intuito de que encontrem uma evolução na equipe.

No elenco atual, alguns jogadores que participam ativamente dos jogos entram nesse contexto: Tomás Astaburuaga, que jogava no Union Española, Eduard Bello, do Carabobo, Ricardo Blanco, no Curicó Unido, e Marco Collao, com passagem pelo Coquimbo Unido. Além disso, o meio-campista Ângelo Araos, atualmente está no Corinthians, foi revelado nas categorias de base do Antofagasta, antes de se destacar na Universidad de Chile.

O TREINADOR

Gerardo Ameli, de 48 anos, é o comandante do Antofagasta. O jovem treinador encontra-se no terceiro clube da carreira e, antes de embarcar no Chile, teve passagens por Sport Rosario e Deportivo Municipal, ambos do Peru. Antes de qualquer experiência profissional, o argentino foi assistente técnico de Jorge Sampaoli, atualmente no Santos, no Sporting Cristal-PER. Além disso, afirma que possui em Marcelo Bielsa uma de suas principais inspirações, mas que, no fundo, tem seu próprio estilo de trabalho.

– Bielsa me influencia nos quesitos de dinâmica de jogo, pressão constante e com a mudança de atitude dos jogadores, me sinto muito identificado com isso. Mas, com minha comissão técnica, fomos tratando de colocar essas ideias com fatores de outros treinadores para que não fiquemos presos em apenas um sistema, como Tata Martino e Mauricio Pellegrino, principalmente na gestão de um elenco. Creio que isso está mais relacionado com o futebol moderno do que ficar preso em uma única ideia – afirmou, ao “Publimetro Chile”.

ESTILO DE JOGO

Mesmo citando as influências de Marcelo Bielsa e Jorge Sampaoli para a sua carreira, é possível encontrar diferenças no estilo de jogo de Ameli em relação ao do atual técnico do Santos. Os dois possuem seu estilo de jogo moldado no controle da bola, mas o Antofagasta é mais direto nos ataques que constrói se comparado ao Alvinegro Praiano.

O objetivo do Antofagasta é sempre buscar o gol, não importa o que aconteça. Por isso, nem sempre será possível, por exemplo, encontrar a equipe tocando a bola no campo de defesa, mas sim vê-los em velocidade em direção ao gol do adversário, mas sempre com a cautela nos passes e nas decisões em campo. Isso explica um estilo de jogo intenso e que, apesar de não controlar tanto as porcentagens de posse de bola, seja moldado no controle da mesma.

TATICAMENTE

​A base da equipe é a formação 4-2-3-1. Em jogo, com o avanço do ataque, é possível também ver um 4-3-3, já que os jogadores de lado de campo sempre buscam sair das beiradas e atacar a área adversária em movimento diagonal. Quando tem a bola, é possível notar também um avanço dos laterais, que aparecem com frequência no campo ofensivo, atuando como alas.

Defensivamente, o Antofagasta se molda por meio da pressão constante. Assim como o Fluminense de Fernando Diniz, os chilenos tentam incomodar a saída de bola do adversário e, nesse contexto, contam com dois volantes que cobrem espaços dentro de campo, com o objetivo de recuperar a bola rápido. Além disso, o time, quando está sem a bola, se molda com duas linhas de quatro jogadores compactas, sem dar espaços para o rival receber entrelinhas.

DESTAQUE RETORNANDO

Individualmente, o destaque do Antogasta é o venezuelano Eduard Bello. O atacante de 23 anos se destaca pelos dribles, bom aproveitamento nos duelos um contra um diante dos marcadores adversários e técnica, seja para finalizar ou passar. No último Campeonato Chileno, o camisa 20 contribuiu com 13 gols e cinco assistências em 26 partidas disputadas.

O atacante, porém, passou teve uma lesão na reta final da última temporada. Em partida contra o Everton de Viña de Mar, em outubro, Eduard Bello teve um jogo de extremos: marcou dois gols no primeiro tempo e na comemoração de um deles subiu nas arquibancadas para pedir sua melhor em casamento. No segundo tempo, porém, sofreu uma dura falta e fraturou a fíbola, perdendo o resto do campeonato. Aos poucos, o camisa 20 vem retornando e já aparece no banco de reservas nas partidas dos Pumas.

Em campo, a linha defensiva se posiciona em bloco alto, ficando perto da região do círculo central, acima da região ‘normal’ para jogadores da posição. É uma equipe muito intensa, todos os jogadores participam, de algum jeito, de todas as fases do jogo, sejam as ofensivas ou as defensivas.

A preferência do Liverpool-URU é de algo em definitivo, mas o Botafogo, por conta de alguns problemas financeiros, discute a possibilidade de um empréstimo. De acordo com o agente, a equipe uruguaia pode ceder o atleta se houver uma cláusula de compra inclusa no contrato.

O jogador está animado com a possibilidade de jogar em solos brasileiros que, por conta disso, o agente dele está travando as propostas que vêm de outros países. Além do Botafogo, o empresário revelou ter sido contatado por mais quatro equipes brasileiras.

The Pakistan squad for Champions trophy spent the second day of their conditioning camp in Abbottabad focusing on their batting. The players had a full-fledged session under the guidance of former players Javed Miandad and Wasim Akram, while the regular coaches, Dav Whatmore and Mohammad Akram, took a backseat.Misbah-ul-Haq, Nasir Jamshed and Umar Amin were batched together for a batting session with Miandad, while the bowlers – Mohammad Irfan, Saeed Ajmal and Junaid Khan – also spent time working on their batting with help from assistant coach Shahid Aslam. Ajmal, who is expected to play a significant role with the ball, showed he has worked on his batting with a couple of eye-catching shots – a back-foot cut and a slog over midwicket.Asad Shafiq, who scored four consecutive half-centuries recently in the President’s cup one day tournament, had an extended batting session for two hours. In the absence of Younis Khan, Shafiq will shoulder extra responsibility in the Pakistan middle order.”I have batted on a track that helped both bowlers and batsmen, a pitch similar to what we are (expecting) to get in England,” Shafiq said after the session. “My confidence is already up after playing in South Africa. I am trying to avoid being complacent and maintain my rhythm from these training sessions.””My plan is to bat for big runs as I know the responsibility in his [Younis] absence has gone up.
