يخوض فريق ريال مدريد، مساء اليوم السبت 12 أغسطس، أولى مبارياته في الموسم الجديد من الدوري الإسباني.

ويبدأ النادي الملكي مشواره في تلك النسخة من الليجا بمواجهة قوية ضد أتلتيك بلباو، على ملعب “سان ماميس” (طالع التوقيت من هنا).

Australia are increasingly becoming a team bound to the singular vision of the coach Darren Lehmann, after it was announced that the senior assistant coach Steve Rixon had been jettisoned from the support staff of the national side.Rixon, who had been employed as fielding, spin bowling and assistant coach at various times in a role he began in 2011, and also deputised for Lehmann on the ODI tour of India last year, took his last sessions with the team around the Sydney ODI that preceded the Allan Border Medal presentation and did not fly to South Africa on Wednesday.Lehmann couched Rixon’s exit as part of a move away from catch-all assistant coaches to specialist consultants in various disciplines, from the appointment of Mike Young on a short-term contract to the use of Shane Warne to mentor the team’s spinners before the World Twenty20 to be played in Bangladesh after the South Africa tour.”I’ve taken the opportunity to look at our current coaching structure and the levels of support I feel we need moving into the future,” Lehmann said. “I’ve mentioned previously that I believe our players can really benefit from more dedicated skill-based training, which means more regular support from technical experts to help work on specific areas of performance.”This will see various coaches and experts in their field working with the team as and when it is needed. In recent times that’s included people like Mike Young to work on fielding while Shane Warne is going to work with our spinners in a short-term capacity ahead of the ICC World Twenty 20.”These changes to how we support our players means it is no longer necessary to have a full-time assistant coach travelling with the team. Steve has made an outstanding contribution to Australian cricket over a long period of time and played an important role with the national team since 2011.”Though he mentored the India touring team capably, in keeping with a long career where he has coached with great success with New South Wales, New Zealand and the Chennai Super Kings among others, Rixon’s place in the Australian set-up looked uncertain from the moment Young was called back to improve the team’s ground fielding ahead of the Ashes.He will be missed by several of the team’s NSW representatives in particular, as the captain Michael Clarke and his deputy Brad Haddin have each developed close relationships with Rixon at state and national levels. However, the spinner Nathan Lyon did not enjoy quite so successful a union when the former coach Mickey Arthur appointed Rixon to oversee slow bowling, ultimately preferring the counsel of John Davison.Over his first seven months in the job, Lehmann has gradually assembled his chosen coaching team, recalling Craig McDermott to work with the pace bowlers while also appointing his former Queensland colleague Damian Mednis as the team’s strength and conditioning coach instead of the Victorian David Bailey.Rixon was a candidate for the role of Sri Lanka coach last year, but ended negotiations when he concluded that the island nation’s salary package was insufficient. He remains under the employment of the Chennai Super Kings, enjoying a fruitful partnership with the former New Zealand captain Stephen Fleming.

A etapa inicial foi do Vila Nova. O Tigre tomou conta das ações e não deixava o Paraná chegar ao campo de ataque. Apesar do volume do time da casa, as chances surgiram através de bons chutes de fora da área.

Na etapa final o ritmo do confronto caiu drasticamente. Com a vantagem, o Vila Nova pouco atacava e dava a bola ao Paraná, que apresentava dificuldade na hora de criar as jogadas.

وتوصل نادي ليفربول لاتفاق مع فريق برايتون، لضم الدولي الإكوادوري، مويسيس كايسيدو، لاعب خط وسط فريق برايتون، في صفقة قياسية، بعدما استطاع التغلب على تشيلسي في المنافسة.

وبحسب شبكة ذا أثليتك، فإن صفقة كايسيدو ستكون الأغلى في تاريخ ليفربول، مقابل 110 ملايين جنيه إسترليني، متخطيا الانتقال التاريخي للدولي الهولندي، فيرجيل فان دايك، الذي انتقل إلى النادي مقابل 75 مليون جنيه إسترليني.

وعبر حسابه بموقع “تويتر” قال كاراجر: “110 ملايين هو ثمن باهظ لكايسيدو لكن ليفربول كان عليه أن يدفع مبالغ كبيرة لأن الأندية تعلم أن الريدز كان يائسًا”.

وأضاف المدافع السابق: “لكن التعاقد مع اثنين من أفضل اللاعبين الشباب مقابل 145 مليونًا وبيع اثنين من اللاعبين الأكبر سنًا مقابل 52 مليونًا هو عمل عظيم”.

Crystal Palace midfielder James McArthur is set to extend his stay at the club after enjoying a fabulous start under the tutelage of new manager Patrick Vieira.

What’s the story?

According to LondonWorld, the 34-year-old is expected to put pen to paper on fresh terms over the coming weeks, with his current contract set to expire in the summer of 2022.

The report states that: “LondonWorld understands that both the player and club have agreed to extend their time together for another year, and they are just working out the final details before the former Scotland international puts pen to paper.”

There’s no indication of how long the proposed deal would be, but given his age, it would likely be a one-year extension.

Crystal Palace fans will be elated

McArthur arrived at Selhurst Park via a £5.5m move from Wigan Athletic back in 2014 and has gone on to establish himself as a mainstay in the capital club’s engine room, making 238 appearances in all competitions.

The former Hamilton Academical academy graduate hit 300 appearances in England’s top-flight before the recent international break, and the Accies academy director George Cairns lauded the diminutive midfielder’s achievement.

Cairns told Not The Old Firm: “It’s a huge achievement for James. 300 appearances in the Premier League? That is fantastic.

“It’s absolutely phenomenal and what he has gone on to achieve down south has been excellent. You can only commend him as he has done fantastically well.”

And the £55k-per-week earner appears to be getting better with age with Vieira dubbing him a warrior. A hamstring injury ruled him out of the 3-3 draw with Burnley last time out, but he had started every league game up until that point this season.

With Palace beginning a transitional period under their French coach, keeping experienced heads such as McArthur’s around will be extremely beneficial, and the club’s supporters will be elated at this latest revelation.

Para o confronto do próximo sábado (27) frente ao Atlético-MG em Belo Horizonte, ele ressaltou a relevância no aspecto tanto de sua trajetória profissional como para o clube e pontua que o momento é de pensar unicamente no futuro.

-É uma Série A, é a competição que todo jogador quer estar jogando aqui no Brasil, é a elite. Claro que tem a ansiedade, são só os melhores duelando. Foi o que eu falei, foi muito bom ter sido campeão, marcamos nosso nome na história do Avaí, e foi muito bom ter sido o craque do Catarinense, foi inesquecível e mais do que especial, mas isso já tem que ficar para trás. Já comemoramos. Agora é trabalho e foco na Série A – entende João Paulo.
