أعرب أحمد عيد عبد الملك لاعب الزمالك الأسبق، عن استيائه من قرار اتحاد الكرة المصري بمعاقبة قائد الفريق الأبيض الحالي محمود عبد الرازق شيكابالا.

وقال عيد في تصريحات تلفزيونية بفضائية “الزمالك”: “شيء مؤسف جدًا أن تعاقب لاعبًا يتعرض للإهانة على مدار 14 عامًا في الملاعب المصرية، لا يوجد أي اتحاد كرة أصدر قرارًا ضد مهاجمي شيكابالا، والآن يعاقبون اللاعب ذاته”.

وأضاف: “لا أعلم هل يسعون لإرضاء النادي الأهلي؟، القرارات تعتبر صادرة من القلعة الحمراء، والقرارات صادرة دون التحقيق مع شيكابالا”.

وتابع: “المسؤولون في الجبلاية تسحروا وبعد ذلك أصدروا القرار ضد شيكابالا، كلنا مع لاعبنا وندعمه”.

واختتم مهاجمًا لاعب الأهلي حسين الشحات: “ما صدر منه (قلة أدب) ولا تجوز، يجب على الأهلي معاقبته، اللاعب رأى شيكابالا والجميع كان يقول له اعتذر له، وهو يرد لماذا اعتذر؟”.

أعلن الاتحاد الإيطالي لكرة القدم، تضامنه مع رابطة الدوري الإنجليزي “بريميرليج”، والاتحاد الإنجليزي لكرة القدم، الذي سيوقف نشاطه ة ثلاثة أيام، احتجاجًا على الإساءة العنصرية المستمرة ضد اللاعبين والمدربين.

رابطة البريميرليج، أعلنت قبل أربعة أيام أنّ سيكون هُناك مُقاطعة لكافة وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي (فيس بوك، تويتر، إنستجرام)؛ اليوم الجمعة (طالع التفاصيل).

وقال الاتحاد الإيطالي في بيانه: “لإرسال رسالة ضد جميع أشكال التمييز، سيوقف اتحاد الكرة نشاطه على وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي بدءًا من اليوم 3 عصرًا حتى 23:59 بتوقيت جرينتش يوم الإثنين 3 مايو”.

ومن جانبه قال جابرييل جرافينا، رئيس الاتحاد الإيطالي: “نحن نُريد أن نقدم مساهمتنا فيما هو صحيح، لقد حان الوقت لنقول كفى”.

وأضاف: “لأهمية كرة القدم في مجتمعنا، فمن المناسب أن نتحمل جميعًا مسؤولية إرسال رسائل إيجابية”.

Michael Clarke has said he was pleased with the smooth captaincy transition during the one-day tour of Bangladesh, which was Ricky Ponting’s first international series under another skipper in seven years. Clarke said he felt Ponting still had plenty to offer the team, in both runs and experience, and that the former captain had no trouble handing over the reins to Clarke.”Both of us spoke openly daily, we enjoyed it and I certainly see Ricky playing a big part not only in my captaincy, but the other guys in the team and their development,” Clarke said at a function in Sydney on Wednesday. “There’s a lot less stress on his shoulders now. He can concentrate on batting well, as he has been, and helping the rest of the boys.”Ponting became the first Australia captain in nearly 30 years to stay on in the team after relinquishing the leadership, when he was named in the squad for the series in Bangladesh. But Clarke, who had already led Australia 43 times across all formats before he took the job full-time, said there was no risk of him deferring to Ponting when making decisions.”It will never get to that,” he said. “You’re always asking other players for ideas and what their thoughts are on the field. He was there in Bangladesh when I needed him. Ask him a question and he’ll give me the answer, then it’s the captain and the vice-captain’s decision to work out what’s best for the team and make that call.”The relationship among all the players – that’s one thing I make clear to all the guys, to feel free to be who they are, to be open, be upfront and if they have an idea to try and do whatever’s best for the team. Just about all the guys have played under me as captain, whether it be Twenty20 or one-dayers.”He gave me the freedom to be me and be the captain I wanted to be. He was there if I needed guidance or had any questions. Rafa Benitez made plenty of purchases during his time with Liverpool.

Between 2004 and 2010, the Reds brought in more than 50 new players, plenty of which were bargains. The likes of Xabi Alonso, Pepe Reina, Daniel Agger and Lucas Leiva were all signed for less than £15m, for example.

However, despite all those bargain arrivals, the former Valencia boss has recently told The Times that another player was his best-value signing, and it is unlikely to be a choice that will please the club’s supporters.

According to the 59-year-old, Raheem Sterling takes that accolade. Benitez explained his choice by saying: “I credit my scouts and [former Liverpool academy director] Frank McParland. They convinced me to sign the boy. I gave him a tour around the training ground. Fernando Torres was there, Sterling’s mother was there. You could see someone who loved football, who was excited.”

Sterling, of course, is far from a favourite amongst the Anfield faithful. Even when he was still at the club, he was booed by the club’s supporters when picking up an end of season award, whilst some have blamed the Merseyside outfit’s fans for his clash with Joe Gomez in the England camp that saw him dropped for the Three Lions’ game against Montenegro. Despite all of that though, it is hard to argue that the 24-year-old provided fantastic value for money.

It was in 2010 that Sterling made the move to the north-west from QPR for £600,000. He was just 15 years of age at that time, hence the incredibly low fee, but it ended up being a steal. In 129 appearances for the Reds, he scored 23 goals and provided 25 assists. In 2013/14 in particular, he caught the eye as Brendan Rogers almost led the Reds’ to their first league title since 1990. In that campaign, he scored nine goals and provided seven assists in the top tier despite still being a teenager.

His departure from Liverpool caused controversy, with the winger even failing to turn up to training, but £44m was still made from his sale, which meant he was the most expensive English footballer in history at the time. That was more than 73 times what they originally paid for him.

Since that switch, he has 83 goals and 70 assists in 209 matches for the Manchester club, whilst he has also 56 England caps. He has ended up turning into a world class player – not bad for someone who once cost £600,000.

Ian Pont has decided not to extend his contract as the Bangladesh bowling coach once it expires on March 31. Pont had signed on in September 2010 to coach the team for a specific period of time and while he had been in talks with the BCB about an extension, Pont confirmed to ESPNcricinfo that he will be returning home on April 1 to coach at the Mavericks Cricket Institute academy, which he founded.”I came came on a short-term contract,” Pont said in his statement. “But for me to make a long-term commitment and relinquish my UK coaching business, I needed a more viable arrangement. We couldn’t come to any agreement on that subject.”Under Pont’s tutelage, Bangladesh’s bowling improved as they won seven out of eight ODIs at the end of 2010. The team had a chance to qualify for the quarter-finals of the World Cup after beating England, but the batting crumbled in crucial games against West Indies and South Africa.The bowlers had a better tournament, with Shafiul Islam in particular impressing in the games against Associate sides Ireland and Netherlands. “We have been successful in parts but in the past six months we simply haven’t been able to do many of the basics right to be consistent,” Pont said. “That said we have still won 10 of our last 14 ODIs. I think most countries and most coaches around the world would be happy with that record.”Pont was all praise for the Bangladesh fans, calling them “amazing”. “They are emotional and perhaps need to apply more logic in some situtations, but you cannot fault their enthusiasm. I felt they helped us beat New Zealand in the “4-0 Banglawash”. With good scouting and development coaching, I am certain that Bangladesh cricket can make a real impression in the world.”Despite deciding not to renew his contract, Pont would like to stay involved with Bangladesh cricket in some capacity so he can help develop the next generation of fast bowlers. “I feel this is a vital ingredient for replicating what Sri Lanka has been able to do, for example, in the same sort of time frame,” Pont said. “Developing the pace bowling unit is going to make the Bangladesh cricket far more competitive.”

كشف مدرب آرسنال مايكل أرتيتا موقف الثنائي بيير إيميريك أوباميانج وألكسندر لاكازيت، من المشاركة في مباراة الغد أمام فياريال في الدوري الأوروبي.

وغاب أوباميانج عن آرسنال منذ 8 إبريل الماضي، حيث عانى من الملاريا، بينما تلقى لاكازيت إصابة في أوتار الركبة.

وقال أرتيتا في تصريحات نشرتها شبكة “بين سبورتس” القطرية: “لاكازيت وأوباميانج يتنافسان للعودة إلى مباراة الغد، وكذلك ديفيد لويز”.

وأضاف: “نحن في حاجة إليهم لأننا نعلم أن لدينا بعض اللاعبين المتنافسين، وهم من يمكنهم إحداث الفارق في مباراة كبيرة كهذه”.
